On behalf of TUM School of Medicine, the President of Technische Universität München can appoint TUM adjunct professors after six years of teaching and research activities, if the applicants fulfil the requirements of the School. The six-year term may be shortened to four years in exceptional cases on the basis of extraordinary scientific achievements (see criteria for an early TUM adjunction professorship).
The applications are evaluated by a committee that is appointed by TUM School of Medicine. Members of the committee are:
- Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Weber (Chair)
- Prof. Dr. Jürgen Gschwend
- Prof. Dr. Ulrike Protzer
- Prof. Dr. Gabriele Multhoff
- Prof. Dr. Stefan Thorban
- Prof. Dr. Vanadin Seifert-Klauss (Gender Equality Officer)
- Friedrich Caroli (Student Representative)
To initiate the procedure for obtaining a TUM adjunct professorship, a formal application must be addressed to the Dean of TUM School of Medicine using our template. The application shall also include a curriculum vitae, a publication list (according to the template), a document that lists the teaching experience and performance in MediTUM.
